ABOUT PETE XAVIER
I'm drawn to moments that feel real—not just visually striking, but emotionally honest.
Photography taught me to slow down, pay attention, and be present. After years of moving through life disconnected from myself and the world around me, I found something behind the camera that I wasn't expecting: perspective.
What began as a creative outlet became a way of seeing.
Today, my work spans people, places, events, and the quiet details in between. Whether I'm photographing a dancer backstage, a city skyline at sunrise, or a stranger passing through a crowded street, I'm looking for the same thing: authenticity.
I'm interested in genuine expressions, natural light, and the stories that exist beneath the surface. The moments most people walk past. The moments that can't be recreated once they're gone.
In April 2026, I celebrated 16 years of sobriety. Recovery taught me the importance of being present; photography taught me how to practice it.
I'm not chasing perfection.
I'm chasing presence.
